Parks Gallery

I walk in my local park every day. Hesketh park in Southport U.K. is a Victorian park with a central lake,  winding pathways, specialist gardens enhanced by scupltural features and fountains. This is a location made busy by thickets of trees set into hillocks and knolls. I try to capture the light, colour and shadow that cascades between the foliage. The paintings are made in acrylic paint on canvas and canvas paper. The drawings are made in ink on canvas paper. See individual works for greater detail.
